As a writer, Maisie currently hides behind the name of her cat, hoping that one day she will have the confidence to write under her own name. She has loved writing since an early age, and has attended two very different creative writing classes in the course of the last twenty years. The second of these classes led to the formation of a small, informal writers’ group which aims to meet monthly to provide support, encouragement and constructive criticism to its members.
As well as publication on the Secret Attic website, Maisie has recently had a number of short stories published in women’s magazines, and appropriately enough some articles and a blog post in ‘Your Cat’. She also occasionally attempts to write poetry, and two of her poems have found their way into magazines – much to her surprise!
Maisie still works part time, and is looking forward to retirement and having more time to devote to her writing. She is hoping that this will enable her to write longer and more complex work. For the moment, she loves the thrill of seeing her name in print, and hopes that her stories bring enjoyment to her readers.
